Israel Day Thirteen

By far one of the most important things to do in Jerusalem is visit the Old City. A place rich in cultural and religious diversity, history, meaning. We got to experience the Kotel Tunnels, where we saw the closest distance to the old temple possible. Afterwards we explored the Jewish Quarter and were taken on tours of the various sections and points of historical importance. That afternoon a representative from the Women of the Wall came to talk to us about women's pray presence at the Kotel and the work that is being done to create more equality. That night we went to Amunition Hill and learned about the 6 day war. It was a meaningful first day in Jerusalem.
